About

I know when choosing your coach or therapist, it’s nice to understand a little more about that person. I’ve written about my background so you can get to know me a little better.

Prior to qualifying as a Specialist Counsellor I worked in the multi-national business world of Cosmetics, Mining, Pharmaceuticals and Advertising, for the most part overseas. This gave me a realistic understanding of the world outside therapy. I have been an Ex-Pat myself, living overseas for 20 years. I have helped many individuals come to terms with the struggles and challenges of relocating to a new country.

In 2004, I won the Millennium Award (2004) to set up a counselling service in the Welsh Valleys to help adolescents, who were struggling with life and had been identified by another Project specialising in helping young people find their way in life. Worked ad hoc with a local Project supplying counselling to their adolescents who wanted it. Also worked with deaf clients for 15 years in BSL. Worked as a School Counsellor for 2 years. Currently balancing private practice – based in the countryside and also working with the Deaf, as well as the Hearing.

In my spare time I volunteer for Many Tears Animal Rescue, organising street collections for 13 years, bringing me face to face to deeply distressed, bereaved dog-lovers, struggling to come to terms with the loss of their Best Friend.

I am the proud Guardian of 3 Therapy Dogs, who gently ‘help out’ where appropriate.
